The war has begun! Whose side will you be on? In the ‘Winter War’ during thewinter of 1939 and 1940, Corporal Tero Toivanen serves his homeland of Finland against the Soviet Red Army. Tero is a sniper, and although he’s a veteran of his country’s military, like all able young men, he has never seen war. This changes quickly as he’s plunged directly into the fighting, where he sees plenty of death and destruction. As he moves through the bloody battles, he goes from skilled marksman to a cold-blooded killer. The Soviets press their advantage in armament and numbers, while Tero tries to keep himself and his young comrades alive.3 – The horrors continue! The Finnish people face facts that they may be alone in their fight. They may have to negotiate for their survival as spring nears, bringing better conditions for the Soviet attack, as supplies run low. And the Soviets have broken through the ‘impenetrable’ Mannerheim Line. Tero tracks a Soviet sniper, drawing him in while preparing a trap, as the reasons behind his lone quest for revenge become clear.The two extremes of the story converge, but where does Tero go from here, as he tries to recover from a horror the snipers never saw coming…
